Happy Father’s Day
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. John 1:10-13
God’s Kids
I hope that today is for you a holiday of celebration. I hope that the father you grew up with was loving, caring and gave you all the guidance you needed while you were growing up. Regardless of your experience with your earthly father, there is a way to connect with your heavenly father, who is perfect. Through Jesus we have the opportunity to live as connected as children to the God who is all-powerful and all-loving. As Richar Rhor writes in From Wild Man to Wise Man, “…God is only beauty, mercy and total embrace, and nothing but beauty, mercy and total embrace.” God’s strongest desire is that we would return to him through Jesus and live as his children. Happy Father’s Day!
BLESSINGS,
